BMI Priory Satellite Centre

Sutton Medical Consulting Limited (operating from Ashfurlong Medical Centre) provides easy access to NHS and private consultations. We have entered into an agreement with the private BMI Priory Hospital to provide a satellite centre for outpatient clinics, diagnostic and physiotherapy services. 

The outpatients consultations are undertaken by leading consultants who have been granted practicing privileges by the BMI Priory Hospital. Each consultant is appropriately registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and other registration bodies. 

Qualified physiotherapists employed by the BMI Priory Hospital manage the physiotherapy services.

Referrals to the BMI Consultants

Referrals to the BMI consultants will usually be managed through your General Practitioner. Please speak with your GP for further information. 

Referrals to the physiotherapy service can be made either through your General Practitioner or on a self-referral basis. If you wish to self refer please telephone 0121 323 4577 for appointment details and information about costs. 

Self pay patients are most welcome; insured patients are advised to contact their insurance company before arranging any treatment.


The following services are available at Sutton Medical Consulting Ltd;

  • Consultations - These can cover a range of diagnostic, minor ops, pre and post op consultations in any of the specialities where BMI consultants provide weekly clinic consultations at Sutton Medical Consulting Centre.
  • Physiotherapy - All physiotherapy consultations and treatments are undertaken by qualified, experienced chartered physiotherapists employed by the BMI Priory Hospital. Treatments include post-operative surgery i.e. knee and hip replacements, musculo-skeletal conditions such as back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, headaches and whiplash, sports injuries such as ligaments, strains etc, orthopaedic conditions such as pre and post-operative joint replacement and spinal surgery etc, manipulative technique and manual therapy, muscle imbalance training, acupuncture, rehabilitation programmes, ergonomic advice and posture correction, self-help advice and education. Appointments are on a one-to-one basis and a full examination and assessment is carried out prior to commencement of a course of treatment.
  • Radiology - Radiology deals with the use of X-Rays, ultrasound and other imaging techniques to produce images for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. A radiologist is a doctor who specialises in interpreting these scanning procedures. The centre is equipped with the PACS system, which allows for electronic viewing of x-rays. This system is a national linked system, which means that should it be necessary your x-rays can also be viewed at the BMI Priory Hospital.
