Philip Holt - Consultant Clinical Scientist (Audiology)

Audio Home MrholtPhilip has worked in Audiology for over 20 years, initially training to be an Audiologist at the Royal Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in Shrewsbury. He then completed a Masters degree in Audiology at Manchester University in 1996, completed his Certificate of Audiological Competence in 1999 and then moved to North Staffordshire as Consultant Audiological Scientist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. There he developed, co-ordinated and ran district hearing and balance services for adults and children.

He completed a Masters in Business Administration in 2004 at Staffordshire University. In 2005, he left to work for the University of Manchester, leading Audiology research networks and teaching undergraduate and post-graduate Audiology students. Whilst keeping a part time lecturing position at the university, Philip is enjoying focussing his energies on providing quality services to patients within Holt Services at their increasing range of locations.
Philip is a proud father to Bethan, Harry and George. His interests include both beach and fly fishing , gardening, and scuba diving. In 2009 Philip was honoured to be elected President of the British Academy of Audiology, of which he has been a member throughout his career.
