Professional Profile

I am a chartered and registered clinical psychologist, currently working in the NHS in South Derbyshire. I have been qualified since 2006 and have worked in various psychology departments in Scotland and England. I have a wide range of experience with mild to moderate and more complex mental health difficulties.
I use a number of approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and mindfulness, and have recently trained in eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). All these approaches can be used to address a variety of difficulties. I like to work flexibly and adapt therapy to suit your needs, so that you get what you want from the experience.
I’ve been working entirely online during lockdown seeing individual patients, supervising and training staff and running DBT groups. I am happy to make you a face-to-face appointment if you prefer, however.

Personal Profile

I have two young children who keep me busy and I find that I learn a lot about psychology by being their mum.
I am really interested in people and their stories which definitely helps with my job! I also enjoy comedy and love to travel.
