Mr. Mohan Kumar is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with special interest in complex gynaecological surgery and oncology at Good Hope Hospital, Heart of England NHS Trust. He has established specialist pelvic pain and endometriosis clinic at Good Hope Hospital. He has also audited the clinic performances and obtained excellent patient satisfaction results. He is an expert in various general gynaecological conditions including ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, uterine polyps and fibroids. His other strength is operative hysteroscopy for uterine polyps, sub-mucous fibroids, uterine septum and endometrial ablations.

Ravinder qualified as a doctor in 1995 and has been working in gynaecology since 1997. She was trained in obstetrics and gynaecology within the West Midlands and was appointed as consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Good Hope Hospital in 2011; specialising in gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasound.

As the lead consultant for the early pregnancy and gynaecology assessment unit she has worked extensively towards the development of the unit:  introducing day case management of miscarriage, multidisciplinary management of recurrent miscarriage and providinges expert scanning in for rare conditions.

Through her interest in gynaecology ultrasound, she fostered an expertise in the management of pelvic masses, early gynaecological cancer and ovarian cancer screening. She was subsequently appointed as the lead for oncology at Good Hope Hospital. In this role she has further extended her involvement in the areas of cervical cancer screening, colposcopy, management of vulval conditions and advanced gynaecological surgery.

Furthermore, Ravinder is accredited as a trainer and leads the training programme for ultrasound training of junior doctors and nurse sonographers at Good Hope Hospital. She is actively involved in teaching and training medical students and higher surgical trainees.

She is a senior clinical examiner at the University of Birmingham. Ravinder has published several scientific papers and presented at national and international conferences. Ravinder is a member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and also member of Association of Early Pregnancy Units. She has accreditation of British Society of Colposcopy and cervical pathology.
