Appointments

Appointments can be arranged by telephone, online, or by visiting the clinic in person.

To book a private consultation with one of our specialists, you will usually require a referral letter from your GP or another healthcare professional. This referral will either specify a named consultant or indicate the specialty most appropriate for your care. It also provides important information about your medical history and current symptoms, helping the consultant prepare for your appointment. Some specialities do not require a referral letter.

Our friendly reception team is on hand to guide you through the booking process and answer any questions you may have. We aim to make arranging your appointment as straightforward and stress-free as possible, and will do our best to offer a time that is convenient for you.

How to book an appointment

Appointments can be booked by:

Booking an appointment – Insured patients

If you have private medical insurance, we recommend contacting your insurer before arranging your appointment to confirm that your policy covers the proposed consultation or treatment, including your initial outpatient appointment.

Your insurer will provide you with a pre-authorisation or claim number, which will be required when booking your appointment. Please ensure you have your membership number and pre-authorisation/claim number available, as these details will need to be provided to Sutton Medical Consulting Centre at the time of booking.

If you have any questions regarding insurance information or the booking process, our reception team will be happy to assist you.

Booking an appointment – Uninsured patients

We are happy to provide details of consultation fees upon request. Should you require any further investigations, diagnostic tests, or treatment following your consultation, we will also be able to advise you of the associated charges for services provided by the Centre.

Please be aware that, during your consultation, your consultant may recommend or perform additional diagnostic tests to help establish an accurate diagnosis and determine the most appropriate course of treatment. Charges may apply for these tests and will be billed separately by both the Centre and the consultant, where applicable.

If you have any questions regarding fees or charges, our team will be pleased to assist you.
