Professional profile

Dr. Tewary is a senior consultant paediatrician, with a special interest in paediatric urology and nephrology.

After qualifying in 1987 and obtaining his MD from Patna University in 1989, India he progressed to serve Holy Family Hospital, Patna as a consultant paediatrician and nephrologist till 1996. Looking for further higher training he came to the UK in 1997 and been practicing as a consultant paediatrician in the UK since 2007.

He is a Fellow of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and has served national regulatory and educational bodies in various positions including an Associate professorship at St George’s University of Medicine Grenada, Senior Lectureship at Birmingham, University Medical School, and MIMS assessor at Aston University Medical School.

He has been awarded with the ‘Lifetime Achievement award’ from the International conference for scientists, engineering and medicine, and ‘Certificate of Excellence’ from ‘Top Doctors’- An international organisation. He is a member of the Editorial advisory Council for the health magazine ‘Swasthya’, and reviewer for various other peer reviewed medical journals.

Apart from his clinical and academic activities, he is heavily involved in educating parents and patients on health conditions through his self-help videos/articles, and has also featured on ITV speaking on the issue of ‘sleep disorders in children, and rising number of sleep aid prescriptions’.

Personal profile

Dr Tewary is a keen musician. He has got few albums recorded and distributed through major digital musical sites. He spends his leisure time keeping is with fashion with vocal and instrumental music, composing and recording new pieces, and spending time with his family.

Dr Tristan Ramcharan is a highly skilled doctor, and is a consultant paediatric cardiologist and sport cardiologist.

​He is based in Birmingham, UK, and works in the world-renowned cardiac unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
