Professional profile
Steve has worked as an NHS Hearing Aid Audiologist since 1996 at Walsall Manor Hospital, and is registered as a Hearing Aid Audiologist with the HPC Health Professionals Council and a Clinical Audiologist with the RCCP Registered Council for Clinical Physiologists.
In 2001 he made the decision to set up his own Private Dispensing Practice to offer his patients the very best in hearing care, consultation and treatments, using the latest in advanced technology. Steve’s extensive experience working in the NHS alongside other Audiologists and ENT Consultants has been vital to his success, and the service he offers. In 2011 Steve qualified as a clinical Ear Care Practitioner, and has recently completed an ear wax removal course. Steve recently qualified to remove ear wax via micro suction.
Steve now has a dedicated Audiology room at Sutton Medical Consulting Centre, equipped for your Audiology, Hearing Aid and Ear Wax problems.

Philip has worked in audiology for over 20 years, initially training to be an audiologist at the Royal Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in Shrewsbury. He then completed a masters degree in audiology at Manchester University in 1996, completed his Certificate of Audiological Competence in 1999 and then moved to North Staffordshire as consultant audiological scientist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. There he developed, co-ordinated and ran district hearing and balance services for adults and children.
He completed a masters in business administration in 2004 at Staffordshire University. In 2005, he left to work for the University of Manchester, leading audiology research networks and teaching undergraduate and post-graduate audiology students. Whilst keeping a part time lecturing position at the university, Philip is enjoying focussing his energies on providing quality services to patients within holt services at their increasing range of locations.
Philip is a proud father to Bethan, Harry and George. His interests include both beach and fly fishing , gardening, and scuba diving. In 2009 Philip was honoured to be elected President of the British Academy of Audiology, of which he has been a member throughout his career.

Ms Marianne Holt
Consultant clinical scientist
Following completion of a degree in Physics at Oxford University, Marianne completed a masters degree in audiology at Southampton University in 1996. She then trained as an audiological scientist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, completing her Certificate of Audiological Competence in 1997.
She worked in Berkshire until 2002 then moved to North Staffordshire to work initially with children with hearing loss, and then with adults with hearing and balance difficulties. Since 2005 she has worked as consultant audiological scientist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire up to the birth of her first child. Since then, alongside Philip she has enjoyed dedicating more of her time to developing services provided by their family practice.
She is married to Philip whom she met through work several years ago. Alongside caring for her three children, her interests include cookery, sewing, scuba diving and holidaying in West Wales.
