Professional Profile

Foot surgery, bunion, minimally invasive toes deformity correction, subtalar arthroscopy. Minimally invasive hind foot deformity correction, hindfoot endoscopy, ankle surgery, athroscopic ankle fusion, foot and ankle trauma, sports injuries.

I completed my higher surgical training in orthopaedics at Alexandria University Hospitals. I was granted a master degree in trauma and orthopaedics in 2006. In 2012 and on my first attempt, I cleared the intercollegiate specialty board exam FRCS (Trauma-Orth).

In 2014, I was awarded a place on one of the most sought after and highly regarded advanced foot and ankle training fellowships in Wirral University teaching hospitals. In 2015, I was appointed as foot and ankle consultant in Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. I am currently practicing as foot and ankle consultant at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.

I am a dedicated foot and ankle surgeon who treats all conditions from simple to complex with no problem being too small. I treat the full spectrum of foot and ankle disorders and my philosophy is to maintain a pain free joint function and movement. I have special interest in minimally invasive foot surgery, ankle and subtalar arthroscopy, arthroscopic fusion of the ankle and subtalar joint, hind foot minimally invasive correction of deformities, hindfoot endoscopy and managing foot and ankle sports injuries.

To date I have performed over 250 bunion correction surgery, 200 arthritic big toe fusion, 300 ankle arthroscopic procedures, 150 minimally invasive foot and ankle procedures over 3 years in both my NHS and private practice.

I am a member of the Trauma Action Group (TAG) at Heart of England NHS trust. I am responsible for delivering a sub-specialised trauma service, for better and safer care for trauma patients. I am clinical governance lead at HEFT.

I am also proud to be a member of Heart of England Foot and Ankle Society (HEFAS), which include foot and ankle peers in the region, where we aim for a multidisciplinary team approach for managing complex cases, hence ensuring high quality of care for our patients.
