Professional Profile

My general medical degree was from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Medical School, where I obtained a distinction in pathology. I was also awarded the Treasurer’s Prize for the best performance in my intercalated BMedSci degree, where I achieved first class honours.

After completing my general medical training in London and the West Midlands, I began my general dermatology training at the nationally recognised Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Following this, I undertook a fellowship to specialise further in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatological surgery and lasers at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

This was consolidated further by working as a consultant dermatologist and dermatological surgeon at the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. I have since been working as a consultant at the Heart of England NHS Trust, based at Solihull and Good Hope Hospitals. I am the skin cancer multi-disciplinary team (MDT) lead for the trust, ensuring patient receive the best treatment. I am a member of the West Midlands Skin Cancer Expert Advisory Group.

My extensive training across the country has given me a broad range of expertise within general dermatology, Mohs and skin surgery and cosmetic treatments. Mohs surgery is a highly specialised form of skin cancer surgery with the highest success rates. As well as experience in inflammatory skin diseases, I specialise in all aspects of laser therapy, skin lesions and mole assessments and skin rejuvenation procedures (botox and fillers).

Furthermore, I have been selected for travel fellowships and have attended several courses and meetings across Europe and the USA, many of which I have presented at. I am also a reviewer for dermatological journals. I have been actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, having regularly been selected to be a member of the teaching faculty at the national dermatology skin surgery annual course run by the British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS).

Providing the utmost patient care is of paramount importance for me, which I deliver through my communication and clinical skills to ensure patients are fully informed and receive the best clinical outcome.
